Commtel onboards senior industry veterans to boost expansion efforts in the North American market

Mumbai, 15th February 2023:

Globally, oil companies and pipeline operators continue to face unique challenges ranging from accidental pipeline damage to the serious consequences of illegal tapping designed to steal and divert refined oil products. Pipeline leaks caused by failed tapping have resulted in multiple spills/explosions, adding to the environmental issues. Commtel, a globally recognised engineering and technology firm that provides Unified Critical Communications (UCC) including high-performance digital communications, surveillance, security, safety, and AI solutions to clients in the power, oil & gas, transportation, mining, and other critical national infrastructure (CNI) sectors, has onboarded two industry veterans for the expansion and delivery of its projects in the North American market.

John Bertrand has been appointed as Senior Vice President, Business Value Creation, and will be focusing on boosting the sales and business development in the North American market. Additionally, Darin Cade has joined as Senior Vice President, Business Value Delivery & Sustenance, and will play an instrumental role in the delivery of projects as well as customer satisfaction. They both will work closely with Satish P. G., President & Head of North American Business, to strengthen their presence in the North American market and elevate the impact of Commtel’s work.

John and Darin are both seasoned professionals with over thirty years of experience. They have worked with multiple global companies across varied functions of the business value chain from pre-sales to delivery, support and beyond. John has also served in the US Army for around five years as a communications specialist.

“We are excited to have John and Darin on our team and are looking forward to what we are going to create together in the coming days. Both of them have an illustrious career and will be adding a lot of value to what we do as a company. North America is a growing business in CNI, and the two of them will play a critical role for our aggressive growth plans in the North American market.” said Shriprakash R. Pandey, CMD of Commtel.

Potential Blockchain Application in Energy Industry – Asset Lifecycle Management

A large portion of the existing systems in oil & gas industry – exploration, production, and supply chain and logistics operations – are centralized, manual, and disintegrated, making them vulnerable to manipulation and single point of failure.
