Commtel secures telecommunication system design engineering, implementation and supply of Nokia equipment contract for Vijaipur-Kota Pipeline Project of GAIL from WRI, China
Wuhan Research Institute Of Posts and Telecommunications, China (WRI) has won the turnkey telecommunication system implementation contract from GAIL (India) Limited for their Vijaipur-Kota Pipeline Project. VECO, Canada is GAIL’s consultant on the project. WRI has awarded the system design engineering and implementation works to Commtel for this project, including supply of Nokia Primary Drop/Insert Multiplex equipment along with voice and data channel units for this project. WRI will supply their SDH STM-16 and STM-1 equipment out of their state of the art manufacturing facilities in Wuhan, China for this project.
Telecommunication System for 12” Sudan Pipeline Project commissioned in the month of October, 2005
The telecommunication system for the 724 Kms long 12” Sudan Pipeline Project has been commissioned and is presently under trial run for a 30 day period. The entire telecommunication system consisting of SDH STM-4 backbone network along with Primary Multiplex equipment, EPABX System, VHF Trunk Radio and HF Radio System has been integrated and operating satisfactorily along with SCADA System which has been implemented by Larsen & Toubro’s Control and Automation Business Unit, who are the SCADA & Telecom prime contractors for this project.
WRI awards system design engineering, implementation and supply of Nokia equipment contract to Commtel for HPCL’s Mumbai-Pune-Solapur Pipeline Project
Wuhan Research Institute Of Posts and Telecommunications, China (WRI) has won the turnkey telecommunication system implementation contract from Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) for their Trombay-Pune-Solapur Multi-Product Pipeline Project. Engineers India Limited (EIL) are consultant to HPCL on the project. WRI has awarded the system design engineering and implementation works to Commtel for this project, including supply of Nokia Primary Drop/Insert Multiplex equipment along with voice and data channel units. The project was awarded to WRI in September, 2005 with 9 month completion schedule.
More customers have shown interest in Commtel developed OPTO-LEAP and are utilising this product in their network
Commtel secured new orders for supply of OPTO-LEAP an optical by-pass switch developed by Commtel from Reliance Industrial Infrastructure Limited and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited for their cross-country pipelines in the state of Maharashtra. The products have been supplied to our customers in October, 2005. These customers have noted the primary advantage by having their network operational on end to end basis in case of power failures at some locations along the linear pipeline route which is the USP of OPTO-LEAP.
Commtel secures maintenance services contract of telecommunication system for PGCIL’s Northern Region Control and Co-Ordination project
Power Grid Corporation Of India Limited has awarded Commtel a contract for providing maintenance support services to PGCIL’s wideband communication network of SC&C-NR Project. The Maintenance Period is for two year commencing from 16th September, 2005 at 00.00Hrs. During this period continuous system availability at 99.9% will have to be maintained by Commtel. The Northern region power system interconnects the generation, transmission and distribution facilities of various constituents (State Electricity Utilities) in 8 states in Northern India. There are a total of 125 sites in these eight states and the network mainly consists of Nokia DMR2000 Digital Microwave Equipment (312 Nos) along with cross connect equipment (21 Nos), primary multiplex equipment (186 Nos) and channel units, Nokia Network Management System with application servers. The Network also contains SDH STM-1 equipment of Fujitsu FLX150T (26 Nos) and FLX150/600 (40 Nos) along with FLEXRPlus Network Management system. Commtel has deployed a dedicated team of system engineers for this project.
Deployment of CNMS for Northern Railways
Commtel’s Network Management system developed to manage Nokia Q1 elements was deployed for Indian Railways for their Ambala-Kalka and Ambala-Saharanpur section of Northern Railways. The CNMS is located at Ambala and is managing Nokia DB2 and DM2 in the network using Nokia DCNA 2.0 as the mediation device. Commtel developed the CNMS as a low cost NMS option for smaller networks. The CNMS was deployed in the month of August, 2005 and is operating satisfactorily till date.
