Commtel is now Great Place to Work-Certified
Commtel Networks, recently participated at the 13th Convergence India 2005 an international exhibition and conference, where many large organisations from across the World showcased their products and service offerings. This event for Commtel was first of its kind and hence we also showcased our products and services offerings at this exhibition which we feel was very well received by the visitors at our stall. Going by the positive comments which we have received as record in our visitors book the overall effort was indeed worthwhile.
Commtel utilised this opportunity to launch its new products offering, details of which is provided further in this Newsletter. Our Head – Technical Support and R&D, Mr. Nilesh L. Joshi made a presentation at the Access Technology session of the conference on “Nokia Narrowband Access (NBA) and Broadband Access (BBA) Product, Technologies and Applications.” Mr. Kari Niemi, Sales Manager, Partner Sales of Nokia, Finland graced the event by his presence at our stall which further reinforced our relationship and Nokia’s support to Commtel.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all our customers and associates for your support and encouragement.
OPTO-LEAP is designed to ensure the end-to-end optical path availability for the optical fiber network, under power supply failure condition. This is achieved via its intelligent optical switch by sensing, availability of incoming DC supply, providing optical signal by-pass switching under power supply failure condition.
In normal operation, the switch is transparently incorporated in the system by use of optical patch cords. In the event of power failure the OPTO-LEAP automatically patches the signals through on end-end basis. By deploying the OPTOLEAP in mission critical applications the end-end communication is always available.
The unit restores the local station communication automatically after the input DC supply is re-established.
The optical path through this unit is purely optical; i.e. there is no optical to electrical or electrical to optical conversion. There is no electrical loss or electrical bandwidth limit on the fiber optic path. In event of loss of power, the unit has a failsafe mode that returns the switch in to bypass mode.
